I know I have shared this previously, but even though I am far from being straight edge, I have a love for straight edge hard core, when I first heard Youth Of Today in the 80's I was like, "hell yeah, this is what I have been looking for" Punk never sounded like the beast people said it was until I heard hard core! Sure, I love those classic bands like the Ramones, Sex Pistols, & the Clash, but Y.O.T., Agnostic Front, Slapshot...etc opened the flood gates for that loud, fast music, with lyrics that people complained were screamed so fast you didn't understand what they were saying.
